Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Abir Chatterjee will be returning for a social comedy soon. The film has been named ‘Bibaho Bibhrat’ and will be a social comedy on the subject of marriage. Raja Chanda is helming the project. The film is currently in post production stage and will have a theatrical release most probably in June this year.
The story of Bibaho Bibhrat is written by Parambrata himself and as we have already seen his writing and directing capabilities in ‘Abhijan’, it is sure that the story will be quite good. Raja Chanda is one of the most successful commercial filmmakers of the industry and with a nice story he really can give a huge hit to these two actors. This is the first time Raja Chanda is directing Abir and Parambrata.
Many rom-coms are being made in Bengali nowadays but very few of them are actually worth watching. Most romantic comedies do not have anything to offer except for lewd forced laughs. With two such dedicated actors up on a project, it gives hope that ‘Bibaho Bibhrat’ will be different from the other films of the genre.
Parambrata and Abir have previously worked together in the cult classic ‘Baishe Srabon’, ‘Shah Jahan Regency’ both directed by Srijit Mukherjee. They have also acted together in Koushik Ganguly’s ‘Bastu Shaap’ and Suman Mukhopadhyay’s ‘Putul Nacher Itikotha’. Apart from the two, Lahoma Bhattacharya will also be seen in the film. She is a new face in the industry and was recently seen in the Jeet starrer Raavan and Chengiz. The music of the film is composed by Joy Sarkar. Other details have not been revealed.
