Yes, these docuseries cannot reach the heights of Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, The Witcher, and other prominent Netflix entries. But they have emerged as fine additions to the streaming service’s programming list. Here are the top 5 docuseries that will strengthen the OTT platform.

#5. Hurts Like Hell

Releasing Date: July 13, 2022

Hurts Like Hell will show you the unseen and dark aspects of Muay Thai, better known as Thai Boxing. But this sport is not just limited to boxing only. This docuseries will disclose numerous in-ring secrets apart from telling controversies related to the outside world of Muay Thai.

This four-part documentary project focuses on each of these mind-altering substances: MDMA, LSD, Mescaline, and Psilocybin. Viewers will see prominent American author, Michael Pollan, interviewing people affected with different mental problems. He will also shed light on the healing effects of these substances. The duo of Alison Ellwood (Emmy-nominated) and Lucy Walker (Academy Award-nominated) has helmed this docuseries.

Releasing Date: July 27, 2022

Hunter Moore is “The Most Hated Man on the Internet” in this upcoming docuseries. It will tell us about a mother’s crusade of taking Moore’s revenge-porn empire after she found her daughter’s nude photos on his website, IsAnyoneUp.com. He launched this infamous website in 2010. Soon, it became a global sensation for its adult content, misogynistic nature, nude films and photos.

This documentary shows the courage of Moore’s victims and their attempts to stop him from butchering the lives of thousands of innocents. Rob Miller is responsible for directing this three-part series.

#2. Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi

Release Date: July 20, 2022

A serial killer in Delhi starts murdering people, decapitating their bodies and leaving notes with the butchered corpses to tease the cops. He even leaves a decapitated body at the gate of Tihar jail. This series documents those bone-chilling events. Plus, it contains interviews of those officials who were involved with this heinous case. Ayesha Sood has helmed this series.

Release Date: July 13, 2022

In 1971, a man hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft of Northwest Orient Airlines. He had $200,000 with him as ransom. Out of nowhere, he parachuted out of the plane with the cash. Various media reports disclosed that he bought the airline ticket under the alias of D.B. Cooper at that time. However, his real identity is still a mystery. FBI investigated this case for over 45 years but still got nothing. PMZ Pictures and Fulwell 73 have jointly produced this docuseries.
