Zee5 is ready to launch the trailer of their next series The Broken News. The series stars Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar in the role of journalists.
It is expected to unravel the ugly side of the television media which craves TRP and sensationalism instead of truth and ethics.
So first you need to know that the trailer will launch tomorrow. But there are a few things which must be considered before the platform launches the trailer.
Proper Buzz For The Show!
One thing that every platform must learn from Netflix is the way they create buzz. Any title they release is backed by a proper marketing strategy which makes sure that people talk about it.
There is absolutely no doubt that Netflix’s social media team is unbeatable and no one comes close to them. Even though The Broken News is itself a sensational show, a lack of excitement is clear amongst netizens. It is the utter failure of Zee5 and we hope it fixes them and the trailer leaves people desperate for conversation.
Getting The Contents Scissored
Heropanti 2 was a cringe-worthy movie and there can’t be any ambiguities to this notion. The first trailer was brutally trolled but surprisingly the second trailer was unanimously appreciated.
Zee5 needs to present their trailer which is scissored to stun the audience. It must have those elements which lead to an adrenaline rush and push us to the edge. Thus an overall presentability should not be like the other fiascos like 36 Farm House or Sutliyaan. Instead, Zee5 should do something which they did with their own series “Mithya”.
Pushing To Mass Debate
The Broken News has the potential to ensure a public debate. Naturally, the media isn’t the only responsible institution for their downgrade. The public watches their hateful and sensational coverages and that’s why their formula still works.
If the streamer is successful in involving the public amidst the whole debate then it will lead to polarising outrages. The same thing which immensely helped Gehraiyaan may work here as well.
Presenting The Originality
Dhamaka is still fresh in the memory of viewers. It had a strong message and it indeed told us a lot about how media functions.
But if The Broken News presents a darker or more realistic side then it might be completely original and fundamentally interesting.
The series is already complete but if Zee5 wants to make some noise on social media then they have to keep in mind those points. Otherwise, it would just be another Zee5 original which is hardly noticed by anyone.
