Disney+Hotstar has announced that there will soon be a third season for the popular series City Of Dreams. The platform has released a video featuring Atul Kulkarni. Kulkarni is shown in his role Amey Rao Gaekwad and he talks about how everybody is changing parties and even relatives are trying to push people back for the seats and the crowns. Delhi too is trying to interfere in the affairs of the state and Amey Rao assures that he will not let the state matter fall into the hands of central powers and it is a promise of a Gaekwad.
The series premiered on the 3rd May of 2019 and gained popularity among audiences. The show is written by Nagesh Kukunoor and Rohit Banawlikar and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. It has actors like Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Eijaz Khan and Siddharth Chandekar in leading roles. It also has Flora Saini, Amrita Bagchi and others.
The series tells the story of the Gaekwad family, a family of elite history and much regalness and its involvement in current politics. The head of the family, Amey Rao Gaekwad is a polarizing and controversial figure. There is an attempt of murdering him and after that the political and social scenario of the city changes. In the end of season 2 we had seen Gaekwad was planning his comeback while his daughter Poornima was inaugurating the Metro project and both of them had to pay a heavy price. We will have to wait a few more days to know what happened next.
It is not known yet when the show will premiere. The trailer is going to release tomorrow.
