Fans were extremely excited to see Victor Timely in the second season of the Disney+ Loki series. But there is one character that has caught everyone’s attention, even overshadowing Timely. And she is undoubtedly the best character in Season 2. Yup, we are talking about Ravonna Renslayer.
We are near the culmination of Loki Season 2. Marvel has done almost everything right in the first four episodes. But there is one thing that is hard to ignore about the ongoing season.
Season 2 has failed to create sufficient space for the growth of its primary characters, like Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius. Amidst all the chaos and suspense, the ongoing season somehow forgot to properly focus on its protagonist. Loki looks less appealing than other characters this time. Many have felt that the God of Mischief looks like a secondary character in his own series, which focuses heavily on Victor Timely. Sylvie has managed to develop some positive feelings for humans after working at a 1980s McDonald’s in a different timeline. And Mobius just doesn’t give a damn about his real identity.
In the MCU, Ravonna was originally a Vice Principal at a high school. Her original name was Rebecca Tourminet. Yes, she has been overlooked by many fans due to the ongoing MCU’s Multiverse approach, which has focused heavily on Kang so far. She has endured pain and suffered mistreatment at the hands of Kang. And she will not forget this. Her new evil companion, Miss Minutes, may aid her in fulfilling her plans in the upcoming episodes.
Ravonna Renslayer has received less screen time than Victor Timely, Loki, and other characters in Season 2. Yet, her history and unique journey in the MCU are hard to ignore. In the comics, she was a princess of a space colony who later became the love interest of Kang the Conqueror. We have witnessed Kang ordering Miss Minutes to wipe out Ravonna’s memories after winning the Multiversal War. In fact, it was Ravonna who led Kang’s army during the war. God knows how many times she has been cloned and rebooted by Kang. From leading the TVA in the first season to forging an evil alliance with Miss Minutes without Kang or Timely in Season 2, Ravonna has effortlessly caught our attention.
