Set in present-day Dublin, ‘Bad Sisters’ is a ten-episode Irish dark comedy series which revolves around the story of five Garvey sisters who have always been there for each other after their parents’ death. The story takes a sudden turn when the dominating and abusive husband of the second eldest sister Grace dies. That’s when a motivated insurance agent, who is struggling with his own insurance business, desperately tries to investigate and prove the sisters’ involvement in the husband’s killing. The murder-mystery plot becomes more interesting because each of the sisters had their own reasons to kill the husband / brother-in-law.
‘Bad Sisters’ garnered positive feedback from critics and viewers alike. The show has received a perfect 100% critics’ score on reviews aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. Moreover, on IMDb, the series has got a superb user rating of 8.3/10. The show was also nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards this year.
