A hit TvN fantasy K-Drama not making it to Netflix India Top 10 charts? Not possible. We are now talking about a new entrant! And the show is none other than ‘Ghost Doctor‘ that premiered on January 3rd, 2022. The k-drama started streaming on Netflix India from June 23rd. Slowly and steadily, the show made its way into Netflix trending charts. The show is now positioned at #10 and is expected to move up post this weekend.
The 16 episode fantasy series follows two doctors who belongs to extreme backgrounds and possess diametrically opposite personalities and medical skills. One of them, Cha Young-min played by Rain, is a genius doctor and a high-skilled cardiac surgeon. But he possess an arrogant and selfish personality. The other, Go Seung-tak played by Kim Bum, although possesses excellent theoretical knowledge, is bad at practical work because of his fear of blood. Things turn complicated when Young Min gets involved in an unexpected case and his spirit possesses Seung-tak’s body.
This entertaining and rib chuckling fantasy comedy show was directed by Boo Seong-cheol and written by Kim Sun-soo. The show was super-sucessful on TvN and Netflix Korea and is now winning hearts of Indian K-drama fanatics. The reason Ghost Doctor is winning hearts is possibly because of how the show has intertwined fantasy and life-lessons. Fantasy is also one of the most interesting K-drama genres and Indians of course adore fantasy! The huge MCU fandom is an example of how much we line up after fantasy. Also Kim Bum and Rain‘s funny bromance is once in a lifetime.
