We are talking about the 2017 South Korean psychological thriller film ‘Forgotten’ written and directed by Jang Hang-jun. South Korean films and series have had a global recognition for their unique nature and whatever genre it is they know how to make it work.

Forgotten’ begins with Jin-seok (Kang Ha-neul) waking up from a nightmare in the car on his way to a new home with his parents and older brother Yoo-seok (Kim Moo-yeol). In the new house, Jin has more nightmares and hears strange noises coming from a room he’s not allowed to enter.

Then one rainy night, he sees Yoo kidnapped by a gang of men in a black van — only to return 19 days later with no memory of what happened. Soon after, Jin begins to notice his brother acting off, limping and going out in the middle of the night. But when Jin confronts him about it, Yoo claims Jin must’ve been hallucinating because he forgot to take his pills. But this does not stop Jin from finding out the truth.
