Netflix has been on a mission to become the biggest entertainment platform worldwide. In fact CEO, Reed Hastings recently said, “We want to have so many hits that when you come to Netflix you can just go from hit to hit to hit and never have to think about any of those other services. We want to be your primary, your best friend. And of course, occasionally there’s Hamilton and you’re going to go to someone else’s service for an extraordinary film, but for the most part, we want to be the one that always pleases you.”
This just shows that even if you finish watching the updated list all within 4 years, you’ll still miss out on the newer films and TV shows that Netflix releases periodically to expand its library
Compared to other OTT players like Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar and Apple TV+ Netflix is far ahead in the race and has shown no signs of stopping in either the quality or the quantity of content it’s putting out. It’ll be difficult for the other platforms to catch up to Netflix’s humongous repertoire of films and shows any time soon.
