Valentines week has begun and today is Rose Day and if you thought just gifting flowers to your loved one would be enough we suggest upgrade it up with a movie night and it will be the perfect way to spend quality time on a Friday night with your special one.
Don’t worry we don’t come empty handed, there’s this perfect film ‘Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz’ on Prime Video by National Award winning director Onir that you can watch together and just feel the romance flowing in the air.
‘Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz’ is set in the world of pings, likes, tweets, shares and comments where two strangers connect over mis-dial and WhatsApp their way into each other’s hearts, safely hidden behind digital screens. But will the emojis translate to emotions when they reveal their truth to one another?
The film stars debutant actor Zain Khan Durrani (‘Mukhbir- The Story Of A Spy’, ‘Bell Bottom’) as RJ Alfaaz and Geetanjali Thapa (‘Liar’s Dice’, ‘Trapped’, ‘Sacred Games’) as Archana, a meme artist. The two have their own burdens to carry but find a bond in each other like none other. But that fear of meeting in person lingers in their minds and will make you keep guessing what will happens to this relationship.
What’s the best part is despite being set in a modern world ‘Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz’ has an old world charm to it through the poetry that has a melancholic ring to it. The romance is palpable but the characters are as vulnerable as any other young adult of today and that’s what makes it so relatable.
‘Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz’ is one of those gems that you just end up remembering for a long long time. Do catch it up on Prime Video!
