Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj enjoyed a run of six back to back seasons at Netflix, ever since its debut on the streaming platform in October 2018.
Patriot Act and its suave host, Hasan Minhaj was loved and appreciated not only among Asian expatriates, and audiences in the Asian subcontinent, but by viewers everywhere, irrespective of race and nationality. Veiled under the guise of his sparkling humour, Minhaj often took up cudgels on behalf of injustices he perceived needed to be showcased on a global platform. And Netflix offered him the perfect podium.
Be it taking on the Saudi Arabian Kingdom for its handling of the killing of The Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Turkey, his unbridled take on India’s general elections 2019, Donald Trump’s miss-policies or George Floyd’s killing, Hasan Minhaj never shied away from picking up difficult stories.
