She badly wants to be trained by the veteran but reclusive boxing trainer Frankie (Clint Eastwood), whose only friend is his associate Eddie (Morgan Freeman). Eventually, the reluctant Frankie decides to take Maggie under his wings, but the goings-on take a dramatic turn after a heart-breaking incident happens.
Academy Award winner Clint Eastwood has directed several fine films in the past like ‘Sully’, ‘Mystic River’, and ‘Unforgiven’, but ‘Million Dollar Baby’ is different and special in its own way.
The movie had bagged four well deserved major Oscar Awards for the ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Actress’, ‘Best Direction’, and ‘Best Supporting Actor’ categories.
