Netflix’s superhit series of enigmatic happenings and eerie events will be back soon. Yes, Unsolved Mysteries is all set to return to the streaming platform, and Netflix has just announced its premiere date. Fans of the series will be glad to know that Unsolved Mysteries Volume II will drop on Netflix on 19th October!
Unsolved Mysteries took the streaming world by storm when it first premiered on Netflix on 1st July. It is a reprise of the Unsolved Mysteries TV series that ran from the eighties to 2010 on American television. Netflix bought the property from the original owners and made it its own. Result – the show was a smashing hit as soon as it debuted on the streamer.
The series Unsolved Mysteries tackles real cases of perplexing disappearances, shocking murders, true crime and paranormal encounters from the annals of American police files and history. Of course, as the name suggests, the mysteries remain unsolved up to the time they are showcased on the series. The True Crime series invites viewers to provide new clues, tips or hints that could help the police to crack the case.
Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries hit pay dirt when one of the cases featured on the show was reopened by the FBI. New clues turned up after Episode four of the series, titled ‘No Ride Home’, focused on the case of Afro-American Alonzo Brooks, a 23-year-old who was found dead after attending a house party.
No one was arrested in relation to the case and the autopsy could not determine his cause of death.
A huge clue turned up in the case after the episode streamed on Netflix Unsolved Mysteries. Brooks’s body was exhumed after his case was reopened by the FBI.
Several other cases also received important clues from helpful audiences, driving the viewership of Unsolved Mysteries sky high. Netflix had 12 episodes in the making. Six were released in Volume I of Unsolved Mysteries on 1st July. The remaining six will release in Unsolved Mysteries Volume II on 19th October.
