For today’s recco, we suggest you watch a film called ‘The Delinquents’, which was Argentina’s official entry for Oscars 2024. The widely acclaimed movie is streaming in India on the Mubi OTT platform.
‘The Delinquents’ is a Spanish heist comedy drama which follows the story of a bank employee, who hatches a plan to steal a massive amount in order to free himself from corporate monotony. He intends to confess and offers his co-worker to hide the cash until he comes out of imprisonment. But the story takes a turn when a mysterious woman transforms the accomplice.
‘The Delinquents’ has received rave reviews from many critics. The film is ‘Certified Fresh’ and currently holds an impressive critics’ score of 84% on reviews aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. It also won the Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival earlier this year.
