Amazon Prime Video has announced the release date of its thriller series Hanna season 2. As seen in the trailer the show is back with power-packed action and drama. After having an exciting ending in season 1, Hanna is back at ‘The Meadows’ or the Utrax Program risking her life to rescue her friend.
Hanna created by David Furr, is a series based on a film made in 2011 with the same name and it has rightfully paid off. The series has a deep character development and thrilling action sequences. Hanna is a genetically modified teenager who has unrivaled skills and agility and has received elite training. She lives in the Romanian woods with her father Erik who had rescued her from a secret government facility when she was a baby. This story is not just an action thriller but also a coming of age drama where Hanna is going through all the typical teenage phases but with more violence and tragedy.
In season 1, Hanna’s father Erik tries to give her a normal life after 15 years of intense training. But while doing so they had to face the antagonist, CIA agent Marissa Weigler and other agents of the Utrax Program. As it is a coming of age drama, while on the run for normal life Hanna makes friends with Sophie. In this season she discovers that she isn’t the only one with such extraordinary skills and their are more girls like her.
Season 2 will be aired globally on Amazon Prime Video on July 3rd, 2020. Season 2 is about how Hanna returns to the Program to rescue her friend and surprisingly she gets help from her nemesis Agent Marissa Weigler. This season will give insights of the Utrax Program and its real objectives.
