The Tamil action thriller ‘Agilan: King Of The Indian Ocean‘ is going to make its digital premiere on the 31st of March. The film is directed by filmmaker N. Kalyanakrishnan and it stars Jayam Ravi of Ponniyin Selvan fame.

Agilan tells the story of a crane operator with the name of Agilan who also works as a smuggler in the harbours of Chennai. He works for a smuggler Paranthaman and is highly ambitious. He takes on a project where he has to get involved with many international secrets. Paranthaman gets jealous over Agilan and makes a deal with a police officer Gokul to destroy him. Gokul arrests Agilan and the story goes on.

Jayam Ravi has done a pretty good job in the portrayal of the double roles. Actors like Priya Bhavani Shankar, Tanya Ravichandran, Chirag Jani, Hareesh Peradi, Harish Uthaman and Tarun Arora play other important roles. The music of the film is given by composer Sam C.S. The cinematography is handled by Vivekanand Santhosham.

Agilan had its theatrical release on the 10th of March this year after being postponed for a long time. Kalyanakrishnan is known for directing films like Peraanmai and Boologam. He also wrote the screenplay of the movie.

Watch the movie if you’re a fan of Jayam Ravi. Also watch it for the wonderful music. The film got mixed reviews and is definitely not a very good piece of work, but it can work for a good one time watch if you are into these types of films. The film is going to have its OTT premiere on the 31st of March.
