Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Manifest S4’, ‘Evil Dead Rise’, and ‘New Amsterdam S3’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
The Idol (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 5th June)
The series follows the story of a budding pop idol Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), who wants to reclaim the title of the sexiest pop star in America. A romantic relationship with a nightclub impresario revives her passion but will she get what she wants?
Barracuda Queens (Streaming on Netflix from 5th June)
Inspired by real life incidents, the series revolves around a group of women who live in a well-off society and how they resort to stealing from their rich neighbours after falling deep into debt.
Arnold (Streaming on Netflix from 7th June)
The three-part docuseries focuses on the life story of the legendary bodybuilding champion Arnold Schwarzenegger and his journey to becoming an A-list Hollywood action star followed by his career as a politician. It features several interviews including Arnold himself along with James Cameron and Sylvester Stallone, etc.
Avatar: The Way of Water (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 7th June)
The film follows a disabled former Marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who was sent as an Avatar to an incredible moon called Pandora, inhabiting the evolved Na’vi race. After reaching there, Jake fell in love with a Na’vi woman Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). They are now living together with their kids in Pandora and their efforts to keep their family safe from a new human threat.
Saint X (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 7th June)
The psychological thriller series follows the story of a woman named Emily Thomas, who decides to go back to the place where her sister was brutally murdered many years back and to unearth the truth behind the longstanding mystery.
Never Have I Ever Season-4 (Streaming on Netflix from 8th June)
The high-school comedy drama series revolves around the life of Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian American teenage girl and focuses on her relationships with friends and her romantic interests.
The Crowded Room (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 8th June)
Set in Manhattan in the year 1979, the period thriller series follows how a young man named Danny Sullivan (Tom Holland) is arrested for his involvement in the New York City shooting incident. His life unfolds through several interviews taken by investigator Rya (Amanda Seyfried).
Bloodhounds (Streaming on Netflix from 9th June)
The Korean action series revolves around how two young boxers join forces with a well-intentioned moneylender to fight against a powerful and merciless loan shark, who preys on the weak people who are in trouble.
Empire of Light (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 9th June)
Directed by Sam Mendes (Skyfall, 1917), the romantic drama movie is a love story that is set in and around a beautiful old cinema, on the South Coast of England in the early 1980s period. It features Olivia Coleman, Micheal Ward, and Colin Firth in pivotal roles.
Polite Society (Streaming on BMS Stream from 9th June)
The critically acclaimed action-comedy movie follows the story of a woman named Ria, who makes it her mission to save her older sister from her upcoming marriage. With the help from her friends, Ria tries to execute an ambitious wedding heist.
