Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Menu’, ‘Aftersun’, ‘Ginny & Georgia’, and ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season-2’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker (Streaming on Netflix from 10th January)
The true crime documentary film revolves around a happy-go-lucky nomad named Caleb ‘Kai’ McGillvary, who became an overnight sensation after saving a woman from a brutal attack.
Chasing Waves (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 11th January)
The documentary series focuses on one-of-its-kind surf culture in Japan and features several professional athletes like the Australian-Japanese surfer Connor O’Leary and Olympic champ Kanoa Igarashi, amongst others.
Sexify Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 11th January)
The Polish comedy drama series revolves around a group of University students and their attempt to create a sex app called Sexify in order to win a best start-up tech competition.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (Streaming on BMS Stream from 12th January – Rent/PPV)
The multiverse action-adventure movie revolves around a worn-out Chinese American immigrant (Michelle Yeoh), who must somehow connect with multiple versions of herself from a different universe to stop a powerful person from wreaking havoc across the multiverse.
Vikings: Valhalla Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 12th January)
It’s a sequel to History channel’s historical drama series ‘Vikings’ and is set a hundred years after the show. Amidst escalating conflict between Vikings and English royals, the story follows the daredevil adventures of renowned Vikings Leif Erikson, Freydís Eiríksdóttir, and Harald Hardrada, and the Norman King William the Conqueror.
Hunters Season-2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 13th January)
Set in 1977 New York City, the alternate-history drama series follows a secret and disparate group of Nazi hunters led by a Holocaust survivor Meyer Offerman (played by Al Pacino). It also features Logan Lerman as a maths genius who is recruited by Meyer to fight the Nazis hiding in America. The show’s second and final season will focus on the team’s mission to track and eliminate Adolf Hitler, who is apparently hiding in South America.
Servant Season-4 (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 13th January)
M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological horror series follows a couple living in Philadelphia who hire a nanny named Leanne to take care of their son Jericho. But soon after weird things begin to happen as there is much more to the story than meets the eye.
Break Point (Streaming on Netflix from 13th January)
The tennis-based docuseries delves upon some of the world’s most talented tennis players and will focus on the Australian Open, Grand Slam, and Madrid Open and other gruelling tournaments across the globe. When some legendary players have reached their careers’ zenith, the young generation is ready to take the mantle forward with one common goal: become the topmost player.
Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend (Streaming on Lionsgate Play from 13th January)
The film features Frank Grillo in the titular role of the legendary automobile designer Ferruccio Lamborghini and delves upon how he initially developed tractors to his foray into military vehicles and finally designing the iconic Lamborghini cars and how he planned to beat his competitor Enzo Ferrari in the Geneva Grand Prix.
Dog Gone (Streaming on Netflix from 13th January)
Inspired by a true story, the movie follows the story of a dog named Gonker, who is lost somewhere in the Appalachian trail. In a race against time, his owner Fielding Marshall and his father must embark on a journey to find their beloved dog, who cannot survive without medication.
Sky Rojo Season-3 (Streaming on Netflix from 13th January)
The Spanish dark comedy series follows the story of three prostitutes and friends Coral, Wendy, and Gina, who embark on a perilous journey and are on the run from their pimp and his gang members.
Crash Course in Romance (Streaming on Netflix from 14th January)
The South Korean romantic comedy series revolves around the romantic relationship between a former athlete and grocery store owner Nam Haeng-Sun and a wealthy and popular math instructor Choi Chi-Yeol.
