This Week’s Top Foreign OTT Releases: Jack Ryan S3, Glass Onion Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Bardo’, ‘Harry & Meghan Part-2’, and ‘The Recruit’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Nope (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 19th December)

Jordan Peele’s sci-fi horror flick features Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as two siblings and horse ranch owners in California who try to capture video evidence of an unidentified flying object.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season-3 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 21st December)

The political action thriller web series features John Krasinski, who reprises the titular role of a CIA analyst and former Marine Dr. Jack Ryan. This time, he is on the run from his own government after he is falsely implicated while investigating a deadly plan by a group of Russians. Jack Ryan must now race against time to prevent what could possibly be another World War.

Emily in Paris Season-3 (Streaming on Netflix from 21st December)

In a pleasant surprise for Chicago-based marketing executive Emily, she gets her dream job in Paris and relocates. She is assigned to redesign a French marketing company’s social media strategy from an American perspective. As she deals with a culture clash in a new country, she concurrently balances her workplace along with her personal life.

Big Bet (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 21st December)

The South Korean series follows the story of a legendary casino king in Philippines whose life takes a U-turn after he gets involved in a murder case. Now, he must get back into the world of gambling and face his biggest bet, but this time with his life on the line.

The Interest of Love (Streaming on Netflix from 21st December)

Based on Lee Hyuk-jin’s novel of the same name, the South Korean series revolves around the stories and romantic relationships between four persons who work at the KCU bank as a manager, head teller, assistant manager, and a security guard, respectively.

Alice in Borderland Season-2 (Streaming on Netflix from 22nd December)

The Japanese sci-fi thriller series follows a jobless gamer, who is sent to another dimension – a parallel and desolate Tokyo where he and his allies must compete in a sadistic game of survival. He also meets a young woman and together they set out to unearth the mystery.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Streaming on Netflix from 23rd December)

In the ‘Knives Out’ sequel, ex-James Bond actor Daniel Craig reprises his role as the astute detective – Benoit Blanc. The story follows a tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton), who invites his friends to his private Greek island. But the goings-on take a drastic turn when someone is killed, and Benoit Blanc is tasked to investigate the mysterious case. The whodunnit film also features Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Jessica Henwick, Ethan Hawke, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, amongst others.

Strange World (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 23rd December)

The animated sci-fi adventure movie revolves around a group of legendary explorers who must reconcile their differences for the successful completion of their latest mission. The film’s voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, and Lucy Liu, amongst others.

The Fabulous (Streaming on Netflix from 23rd December)

Set amidst the backdrop of the fashion industry in Seoul, the romantic comedy South Korean series revolves around a good-looking freelance photographer and a luxury brand public relations manager.

The Witcher: Blood Origin (Streaming on Netflix from 25th December)

The prequel series is set around 1200 years before the events of ‘The Witcher’ and focuses on the creation of the first Witcher and the ancient Elven civilization.

Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical (Streaming on Netflix from 25th December)

The fantasy comedy drama movie is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic 1988 novel ‘Matilda’. The story is about an extraordinary child prodigy named Matilda (played by Alisha Weir), who develops an incredible ability, and how she uses it to deal with her family and her terrifying headmistress.
