Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such ‘True Detective Season-4’, ‘A Shop for Killers’, ‘Kubra’, and ‘Hazbin Hotel’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Wonka (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, BMS Stream, Apple, YouTube from 22nd January – Rent)
The fantasy adventure movie features Timothee Chalamet in the titular role of Willy Wonka, a budding magician who wants to open a chocolate shop. But he must face the harsh reality that the chocolate scene is dominated by a group of greedy and ruthless chocolatiers.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Streaming on BMS Stream from 23rd January – Rent)
Helmed by James Wan, the DECU superhero movie features Jason Momoa in the titular role of half-Atlantean, half-human Arthur Curry/Aquaman. He must join forces with his half-brother (Patrick Wilson) to protect his kingdom and save the world against a powerful enemy.
Kevin James: Irregardless (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 23rd January)
It’s a stand-up comedy special in which Kevin James talks about various topics such as marriage, parenting, and getting older, etc.
Wish (Streaming on Google Play, YouTube from 23rd January)
The animated fantasy movie follows a teenage girl Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose), who makes a wish on a star which is answered by a cosmic force. Together, Asha and Star team up to fight the evil ruler of Rosas.
Griselda (Streaming on Netflix from 24th January)
The crime drama series is a fictional take which focuses on the infamous Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco (played by Sofia Vergara), which operated in the 1980s in Miami.
Queer Eye Season-8 (Streaming on Netflix from 24th January)
The makeover reality series features a new fab five who use their unique skills and expertise to transform the lifestyles of different individuals to help them excel in their lives.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Streaming on Netflix from 25th January)
The animated action series follows the daredevil adventures of He-Man and how he fights with other masters against his formidable foe Skeletor to save Eternia.
Masters of the Air (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 26th January)
The nine-part war drama series focuses on how several young men of the 100th Bomb Group helped end Hitler’s Third Reich during WW-II and the emotional and psychological price they paid for doing that. It features Austin Butler, Barry Keoghan, and Ncuti Gatwa, amongst others.
Expats (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 26th January)
Based on the 2016 novel ‘The Expatriates’, the series revolves around a group of close-knit expatriates living in Hong Kong. It follows the story of three women (played by Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yu), whose lives change after a tragic incident.
Badland Hunters (Streaming on Netflix from 26th January)
The Korean action flick features Ma Dong-seok as a wasteland hunter, who takes up a dangerous mission to rescue a teenager after the earthquake in Seoul.
Flex X Cop (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 26th January)
The Korean series focuses on the romantic relationship between an easy going, affluent, and fun-loving detective and the first female head of the violent crime department.
