Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Good Doctor Season-6’, ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy S19’, ‘Prey’, ‘The Midnight Club’, and ‘Werewolf by Night’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.
Someone Borrowed (Streaming on Netflix from 11th October)
The feel-good romantic comedy movie follows an adamant bachelor who takes the help of an actress to fulfil her dying mother’s wish and to convince her to not remove his name from her will.
The Watcher (Streaming on Netflix from 13th October)
The crime thriller miniseries revolves around a married couple (played by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale), who relocate into their dream home in New Jersey. But their seemingly heavenly abode becomes their nightmare after they become the targets of a stalker named The Watcher.
The Playlist (Streaming on Netflix from 13th October)
The six-part Swedish series is a fictionalized account which focuses on the story of Spotify’s formation and how the Swedish billionaire and Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek and his business partners revolutionized the music industry with a free and legitimate streaming application.
Shantaram (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 14th October)
Based on Gregory Davis’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the drama thriller series follows the story of a fugitive named Lin (played by Charlie Hunnam). Lin makes a prison escape and lands in 1980s Bombay and falls for a mysterious woman named Karla.
Rosaline (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 14th October)
The film is a fresh take on William Shakespeare’s classic story ‘Romeo & Juliet’. The romantic comedy movie is narrated from the point of view of the titular protagonist – Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Kaitlyn Dever), who decides to foil the romantic relationship between Romeo and Juliet to win back her former lover.
Holy Family (Streaming on Netflix from 14th October)
The Spanish drama thriller series revolves around a family, who is hiding a shocking secret as they make an attempt to restart their lives in Madrid. How their lives take an adverse turn after their dark past begins to follow them to the new place, drives the underlying story forward.
Black Butterflies (Streaming on Netflix from 14th October)
The disturbing French thriller series follows an author, who accepts an offer to write a memoir of a dying man. But the novelist gets more than what he had bargained for after he learns about the man’s dark past.
The Curse of Bridge Hollow (Streaming on Netflix from 14th October)
The comedy adventure movie follows a father and her teenage daughter who unwillingly team up to save their town from an evil spirit after its accidental release.
