Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Wheel of Time Season-2’, ‘Choose Love’, and ‘One Piece’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
One Shot: Overtime Elite (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 5th September)
The six-part documentary series focuses on the ups and downs in the lives of the next generation basketball stars as they work hard and overcome challenges in their careers.
The Little Mermaid (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 6th September)
The live-action romantic fantasy movie follows a beautiful young mermaid Ariel, who strikes a deal with a sea witch which would enable her to get human legs in place of her magical voice. All that to witness the world above the sea and to impress a prince, who she has fallen in love with.
I Am Groot Season-2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 6th September)
The animated series follows the misadventures of the tree-like humanoid character Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) as he navigates through the galaxy where he encounters eccentric new characters which usually get him into some kind of trouble.
Predators (Streaming on Netflix from 6th September)
The nature documentary series narrated by Hollywood actor Tom Hardy focuses on five powerful predator species including cheetahs, polar bears, wild dogs and how they fight and survive against all odds.
6ixtynin9 the Series (Streaming on Netflix from 6th September)
The crime thriller series revolves around a woman, who has been kicked out from her job. Soon after, her life takes another turn when a mysterious package appears outside her apartment door.
Reporting for Duty (Streaming on Netflix from 6th September)
The Brazilian comedy crime series follows a timid cop, who gets transferred to a new station as the new police chief. But he must prove his worth to the big-city police squad to retain his latest assignment.
Scout’s Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America (Streaming on Netflix from 6th September)
The documentary film revolves around the cover-up of Boy Scouts of America pertaining to sexual abuse cases and the huge impact which it had.
Dear Child (Streaming on Netflix from 7th September)
Based on Romy Hausmann’s book series of the same name, the German thriller series is about how a young girl, and her mother are found at a car accident site after escaping captivity from a basement. But the incident is found to be related to a kidnapping which happened many years ago.
Top Boy: Season 3 (Streaming on Netflix from 7th September)
Set amidst the backdrop of the East London underworld, the British crime drama series revolves around two drug dealers Dushane and Sully and how they navigate the world of drug dealing trade at the public housing estate.
Virgin River Season-5 Part-1 (Streaming on Netflix from 7th September)
The basic storyline of the romantic drama series revolves around a Los Angeles based nurse and midwife Melinda ‘Mel’ Monroe, who relocates to the secluded town of Virgin River in Northern California. What seemed like a nice way to give a fresh start to her previously unhappy life turns out to be trickier than expected for Mel.
The Changeling (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 8th September)
Based on the critically admired novel, the eight-part fantasy horror drama series follows a man’s pursuit in search of his missing wife in a New York City he wasn’t even aware existed.
A Time Called You (Streaming on Netflix from 8th September)
The Korean time-travel romantic drama series follows a woman who is still dealing with the death of her lover. Her life takes an adventurous turn when she somehow travels back in time in the year 1998 and meets a man who bears a striking resemblance to her deceased boyfriend.
Spy Ops (Streaming on Netflix from 8th September)
The true-crime docuseries focuses on real-life stories from intelligence operatives from MI6 and the CIA and how secret agents executed various covert missions.
