Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Barbie’, ‘Elemental’, ‘Wilderness’, and ‘A Million Miles Away’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated foreign OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Fast X (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 18th September)
In the action film, franchise veteran Vin Diesel reprises his role as the daredevil street racer and former criminal Dominic Toretto, who must now deal with the most dangerous adversary he has ever faced. And the new enemy (Jason Momoa) is hellbent on exacting revenge from Dom and his loved ones for the death of his father.
The Saint of Second Chances (Streaming on Netflix from 19th September)
The sports documentary film follows the story of Mike Veeck, the son of baseball legend Bil Veeck and how he was exiled from the game but later made a comeback of a lifetime.
Love Again (Streaming on Netflix from 20th September)
Helmed by James C. Strouse, it’s a romantic comedy movie which follows the story of Mira Ray (Priyanka Chopra), who is still trying to come to terms with the death of her fiancé. And in trying to cope with the pain, Mira sends romantic messages to her ex-fiancé on his old number. But the phone number has been reallocated to another man Rob Burns (Sam Heughan), a journalist. Rob then takes the help of superstar Celine Dion to meet Mira.
This Fool Season-2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 20th September)
The half-hour comedy series focuses on a 30-year-old man Julio Lopez (Chris Estrada), who still lives with his parents. He works at a rehabilitation center and tries to help everyone else other than himself.
Sex Education Season-4 (Streaming on Netflix from 21st September)
This widely acclaimed British comedy-drama series focuses on school students and their parents at the Moordale Secondary School. The previous season of the show started off with a new term at Moordale School as students get a new headteacher, whose mission is to get the school back on track.
The Continental: From the World of John Wick (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 22nd September)
Set in 1970s New York, the series revolves around the origin story of the titular chain of hotels featured in the ‘John Wick’ universe which serves as a neutral ground and a safe haven for the world’s most dangerous criminals. The series would be narrated from the perspective of the younger version of the enigmatic owner of the hotel – Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell.
Spy Kids: Armageddon (Streaming on Netflix from 22nd September)
Helmed by Robert Rodriguez, the spy action-comedy movie narrates the story of how the two children of elite secret agents try to save their parents after a game creator unleashes a dangerous computer virus.
Cassandro (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 22nd September)
The movie revolves around the true story of amateur gay wrestler from El Paso Saul Armandariz and how he shot to international fame after he created the titular character Cassandro.
No One Will Save You (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 22nd September)
The sci-fi horror thriller movie revolves around an alienated but talented woman, who lives alone in her childhood home. But her solitude is violated when some extraterrestrial beings intrude her home and now, she must fight back while dealing with her own past.
Still Up (Streaming on Apple TV+ from 22nd September)
The comedy series is about the relationship between two insomniacs – a budding illustrator and a journalist and how it becomes more meaningful by the day as they connect with each other during the night without even meeting.
Love is Blind Season-5 (Streaming on Netflix from 22nd September)
The dating reality show follows a group of marriage-minded singles who meet with the intention of getting engaged. But the catch is that the show’s format does not allow them to see each other. Eventually, the couples decide whether to go their own way or get married.
Song of the Bandits (Streaming on Netflix from 22nd September)
The Korean action-drama series is about how a group of courageous bandits join forces and fight together in a lawless land in order to protect their homes during the Japanese rule.
Heels Season-2 (Streaming on Lionsgate Play from 22nd September)
The series focuses on the rivalry between two brothers (played by Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig) set amidst the backdrop of small-town pro wrestling. The brothers fight in scripted matches as they war over their deceased father’s wrestling legacy. One brother is portrayed as the villain (heel) and the other brother is shown as the hero (face).
The Kardashians Season-4 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 23rd September)
The reality show revolves around the highs and lows of the lives of the popular Kardashian/Jenner family and would also showcase their luxurious offices and sprawling houses.
