Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Only Murders in the Building S2’, ‘Stranger Things S4’, ‘The Terminal List’, and ‘Benedetta’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.
America the Beautiful (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 4th July)
The six-part nature-based docuseries showcases some spectacular footage of the wildlife and landscapes in the North American continent.
Control Z Season-3 (Streaming on Netflix from 6th July)
The Spanish show revolves around Sofia’s endeavours to unearth the identity of a hacker who is hellbent on revealing secrets of students to the whole school. The upcoming season takes place after Susan’s death where an online handle reactivates and threatens to destroy the careers of the group of students. Sofia must find out about the new threat before it’s too late.
King of Stonks (Streaming on Netflix from 6th July)
The six-part German comedy financial drama series revolves around a super ambitious finance mastermind who uses some not so ethical ways to quickly climb the start-up success ladder.
Girl in the Picture (Streaming on Netflix from 6th July)
Based on journalist Matt Birkbeck’s non-fiction books, the true-crime documentary film narrates the mysterious case pertaining to the life and death of a woman named Sharon Marshall. Sharon was a studious teenager who while her father was a fugitive.
This Much I Know to be True (Streaming on Mubi from 8th July)
Helmed by Andrew Dominik, the music-based documentary film showcases the creative relationship between the two Australian musicians Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and focuses on their last two studio albums namely Ghosteen and Carnage.
Boo, Bitch (Streaming on Netflix from 8th July)
The eight-part comedy series revolves around a high school senior whom not many people are even aware of her existence in the school. One night, she decides to change her situation, but she eventually learns about a startling fact about herself.
Incantation (Streaming on Netflix from 8th July)
Being touted as the most horrifying Taiwanese horror movie and directed by Kevin Ko, the critically acclaimed film has been narrated through hand-held technique. The film’s plot revolves around a mother who is desperately trying to save her daughter from an evil curse which was started by her.
Who is Ghislaine Maxwell? (Streaming on Lionsgate Play from 8th July)
The three-episode documentary series is based on the life of Ghislaine Maxwell, the Oxford-educated daughter of the infamous media tycoon Robert Maxwell. The series showcases the life of the former British socialite and how she met predator Jeffrey Epstein in New York and helped him in sex trafficking activities.
The Sea Beast (Streaming on Netflix from 8th July)
The animated adventure movie revolves around a girl named Masie Brumble (Zaris-Angel Hator) who stows away on the ship of the legendary sea monster hunter Jacob Holland (Karl Urban) from whom she learns the tricks of the trade.
