Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Hush Hush’, ‘Jamtara Season-2’, ‘Babli Bouncer’, ‘Atithi Bhooto Bhava’ and ‘Diary’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Cobra (Streaming on SonyLIV from 28th September)
Helmed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and starring Vikram, the movie revolves around the titular protagonist who is known for his perfectly executed assassinations of some of the powerful leaders of the world. On his trail is a reputed Turkish Interpol officer, who is hellbent on bringing down the highly intelligent and most wanted criminal with the help of several clues. A Maths teacher named Madhiazhagan also gets involved in the case.
Plan A Plan B (Streaming on Netflix from 30th September)
Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, the romantic comedy movie revolves around two disparate individuals played by Tamannaah Bhatia and Riteish Deshmukh. The woman’s character is that of a matchmaker who opines that marriage is for everyone excluding herself. While the man in the love story is a successful but cynical divorce lawyer who harbors a secret of his own. When the matchmaker moves her office beside the lawyer, the situation gets complex and sparks fly.
Karm Yuddh (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 30th September)
Directed by Ravi Adhikari, the Kolkata-set eight-episode series follows various family members of the Roy family and their battle of thrones for gaining control over one common thing – the thriving Roy Industries business group. The show features a talented cast that includes Satish Kaushik, Rajesh Khattar, Ashutosh Rana, Paoli Dam, amongst others.
Captain (Streaming on Zee5 from 30th September)
The sci-fi action movie features Arya as a tough soldier, who, along with his elite team, is sent on a covert mission to track a mysterious killer creature which is suspected to be of an alien origin. The movie has been helmed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. The film also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Simran, Harish Uthaman, and Kavya Shetty, amongst other cast members.
Bodhon (Streaming on Hoichoi from 30th September)
Directed by Aditya Roy, the Bengali language web series features Sandipta Sen and Ditipriya Roy in the lead roles and the story revolves around two women named Raka, a college professor and Shinjini, a victim, and their common fight for carving a place for women in the society.
Solomante Theneechakal (Streaming on Manorama MAX from 1st October)
The romantic thriller movie directed by Lal Jose revolves around the friendship between two women – Suja (played by Darshana S. Nair), a traffic cop, and Glyna (played by Vincy Aloshious), a police officer. Their relationship is put to test when Suja falls for a man named Sarath, a rental car driver, who gets involved in a murder.
