Well, well, well… After a long and exhausting period of waiting, we finally have the teaser of MCU’s upcoming instalment, Thor: Love and Thunder. Fans have been begging Marvel Studios to drop a teaser, trailer, tv spot, or any other form of an official video clip related to the forthcoming ‘God of Thunder’ project for a long time. But it’s alright. Our wait was worth it.
The latest teaser of ‘Love and Thunder’ is loaded with bright colours, MCU’s typical comic moments, and several magnificent scenes. But the most important thing is that it shows the best version of Thor in the current MCU timeline so far.
Thor’s first instalment in the MCU came out nearly 11 years ago. And do you remember how haughty and bellicose the son of Odin was in that one? Yes, his great father stripped all of his godly abilities and exiled him from Asgard as a result of his stupid attack on Jotunheim, the planet of frost giants. As a result, he spends an ample amount of time on Earth with Jane. Sometime later, he falls for her and ends up dramatically changing himself.
Thor has one of the biggest and most amazing character arcs in the history of MCU’s superheroes. And every entry that had the wielder of Stormbreaker in it offered something new to his character. After living for more than 1,500 years and enduring unlimited heartbreaks, he eventually decides to step aside from his superhero duties and starts to ‘find his own way’ in Thor 4. Fans will see Thor trying to give a new meaning to his life in addition to doing all sorts of things that make him happy in the impending MCU project.
Apart from the Asgardian deity’s comic-accurate costume, the eccentric Guardians of the Galaxy, New Asgard’s modern look, and Natalie Portman summoning the repaired Mjolnir in her Mighty Thor avatar were the biggest highlights of the teaser. We even watched a glimpse of Russell Crowe’s Zeus in that clip. However, there was no sign of Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora.
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit the theatres on July 8. The Jojo Rabbit fame has helmed this one after directing its predecessor, Thor: Ragnarok. The movie has Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, and many more acting talents.
