A Perfect Pairing (2022)
This romance-comedy drama was earlier trending on Netflix top 10 list. It follows the story of Lola who works at a wine importing company. After her idea is stolen, she quits and decides to start her own company. In the pursuit of getting her first big client, Vaughn Family Wines, she flies to Australia and ends up working at their farm to charm the Vaughn Family. Her stay at the farm gets interesting when she bonds with Max, the head of the farm. He seems to be a handsome and simple guy but his secret, if revealed, might affect his blooming romance with Lola. This feel good film stars Victoria Justice, Adam Demos, Samantha Cain, and Lucy Durack in key roles.
Badhaai Do (2022)
The story revolves around the concept of ‘lavender marriage’, a cover-up marriage between a homosexual man and a homosexual woman to hide their identities from the society. Rajkumar Rao plays a gay cop and Bhumi Pednekar plays a lesbian sports teacher. They enter into a marriage of convenience due to family pressure. Keeping their identities hidden becomes difficult post their marriage when Suman’s (Bhumi) girlfriend comes to stay with the newly wed couple. ‘Badhaai Do’ is currently trending on #10 in the Netflix top 10 Indian movies list. It is a wholesome movie that you’ll definitely not regret watching. Also, it’s pride month! That’s another reason to watch ‘Badhaai Do’.
Enola Holmes (2020)
It is based on a young adult novel ‘The Case of the Missing Marquess’ by Nancy Springer. Enola is the teenage sister of famous detective Sherlock Holmes. One day, after her mother’s sudden disappearance, she is forced to live under the guidance of her elder brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft. They want her to live like a regular girl and force her to go to school. Enola refuses to accept her fate and decides to escape. On the train, she meets Viscount Tewkesbury, who has also run away from his home. What follows is their journey together and Enola’s attempt to find out the mystery behind her mother’s disappearance by outsmarting her brothers! ‘Enola Holmes’ is a complete film. It literally has all ingredients of a ‘perfect’ film. Its star-studded cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, Sam Claflin, and Louis Partridge.
