The official trailer for Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu‘ is out now and it looks breathtaking. The movie stars actress Manju Warrier as the female lead. The film will hit the theaters on the 12th of January next year.
The trailer shows Ajith Kumar trying to rob a bank with a black mask on his face. He fires his guns violently and keeps the people hostage. The police and government are trying to find out ways to stop him but the robber does not make his demands clear to them. The identity of the criminal mastermind is not known and he continues robbing banks in Chennai while keeping his motive unclear. ‘Thunivu’ looks pretty much similar to Money Heist and may even follow a similar storyline, but fans are excited and the trailer has got huge views in such a short time. Hopefully the movie will be something more than a regular bank robbery and it will not disappoint the fans.
It is Ajith Kumar’s 61st film and was earlier being called AK 61 before its announcement. There was speculation among fans that the name of the movie would be ‘Thunivu’ or ‘Aattam’.
Thunivu is directed by H. Vinoth who has previously directed movies like ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ and ‘Valimai’. This is the thrid collaboration of Ajith Kumar with the director, the first time with the ‘Pink’ remake ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ and the second time being in ‘Valimai’. The music of the film is composed by M. Ghibran and the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ will also be released during Pongal, 2023 and it will clash with Thunivu and fans are too hyped for the clash of the two stalwarts of Tamil film industry.
