“You’re a f**king movie star!” Mia Goth is indeed a movie star, and a damn good one. And she is all set to conclude Ti West’s X Trilogy with the final entry, MaXXXine. A24 has dropped the film’s official trailer.
The trailer opens with Maxine (Mia Goth) sitting in front of a casting director to get her big Hollywood break via a horror flick. The latter questions Maxine about her past work as a pornstar and asks her whether she always wanted to work in the adult film industry, to which Maxine replies, “I always wanted to be famous.”
Apart from Goth, the latest trailer of MaXXXine shows plenty of amazing talents like Elizabeth Debicki (the director of Maxine’s film), Moses Sumney, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, and Kevin Bacon. It will arrive in theatres on July 5, 2024.
Just when Maxine starts to think that she has reached the top of the mountain, a mysterious and deranged serial killer, The Night Stalker, begins hunting her. As the detectives (played by Monaghan and Cannavale) dig deeper into Maxine’s past, a possible connection with the killer surfaces. This scenario also starts interfering with the production of Maxine’s film.
MaXXXine serves as the third entry to Ti West’s X Trilogy. The remaining two entries are X and Pearl. Both films are commercially successful and have received acclaim from fans and critics. Given how intriguing and compelling MaXXXine’s trailer looks, it seems like West’s trilogy will culminate on a highly satisfying note. Enjoy the trailer below!
