Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ has suddenly become the most anticipated Hindi film on OTT. Digital viewers are desperately waiting for the ‘Tiger 3’ OTT release date, which for some reason has invited all kinds of speculation. 31st December had been the rumoured OTT release date for ‘Tiger 3’ earlier. But alas, that didn’t happen. We’ll tell you why –
The Hindi film industry, aka Bollywood, has a strict rule in place. All movies have to stick to a mandatory 8-week exclusive theatrical window – which means they cannot release on streaming before 8 weeks of playing in theatres. This means that a Bollywood movie can only release on OTT after 8 weeks of its release in theatres. Also, Bollywood is the one film industry in India that enforces the rule strictly, and all producers and filmmakers follow the rule wholeheartedly, including Yash Raj Films.
By this logic, there was simply no chance of YRF’s Tiger 3 releasing on OTT before the mandatory 8 weeks were up. Going by the calculation, the actual Tiger 3 OTT release date should therefore be this Friday, which is 5th January, 2024. Prime Video India has the streaming rights for Tiger 3. So Tiger 3 should release on Prime Video worldwide on 5th January, 2024.
Hindi film Tiger 3 follows Indian intelligence agent, Tiger (Salman Khan) and his partner Zoya (Katrina Kaif), as they race against time to stop the assassination of the Pakistan PM, after they’ve been framed as traitors. The film stars Emraan Hashmi as the primary antagonist. ‘Tiger 3’ also has an extended cameo from none other than King Khan, aka Shah Rukh Khan.
The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma, who’s earlier directed Band Baaja Baaraat, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, among others, for Yash Raj Films.
Tiger 3 most likely premieres on Prime Video on 5th January, 2024. Stay tuned to Binged for any new updates on the Tiger 3 OTT release date.
