National Award winning filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s latest project ‘Garmi’ is all set to land on SonyLIV this April and the first glimpse unveiled today will have you hooked to the show with its fierce rawness.
‘Garmi’ teaser follows a young boy named Arvind Shukla who moves out of his hometown to another city for studies with wishes of the family, desires of his own and dreams in his eyes. But the university life turns out to be unexpectedly different for him.
An aspiring civil servant, Arvind stumbles into the complicated and dark world of college politics, power play and crime. And all this begins with an incident in the hostel canteen where he beats up a senior who abused him. With police and high level politicians involved, this college politics is quite dangerous and Arvind’s hot headed attitude can either make him the leader or get him crushed. Also there’s something larger at play that Arvind is yet to become acquainted to.
The teaser looks pretty interesting and grips your attention throughout with its action packed drama and thrill. The rawness and fierceness captured in ‘Garmi’ is what makes it more interesting.
Written and created by Tigmanshu Dhulia, ‘Garmi’ stars Vyom Yadav, Jatin Goswami, Vineet Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Anurag Thakur, Disha Thakur, Puneet Singh, Anushka Kaushik, Dheerendra Gautam and Pankaj Saraswat among others.
‘Garmi’ has screenplay and dialogues from Tigmanshu Dhulia and Kamal Pandey with cinematography by Shailesh Awasthi. Swaroop Sampat and Hemal Ashok Thakkar serve as producers for the series. Production company behind ‘Garmi’ is Playtime Creationn.
