Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer for its upcoming film ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ and its one roller coaster love story. Helmed by Sai Kabir, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ will premiere only on Amazon Prime Video on 23rd June, 2023.
‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ trailer shows the exciting, fun and twist filled journey of two people who both have big Bollywood dreams. Coming from the underprivileged strata of society both are ambitious for a better life but, life has different plans for them.
Shiraz, aka Sheru, hails from Bhopal, a small-town in India and comes to Mumbai in search of a better life. Being semi-literate, he works as a pimp for a local don, Shahid Bhai, and also as a junior artist as a decoy job, where he finds girls for his pimping business. He risks everything to win the confidence of his boss to be promoted as an equal partner.
On the other hand is Taslim, aka Tiku who lives with her large conservative Muslim family in Bhopal. To break free from her family, she runs away to Delhi under the pretext of higher studies, where she falls in love with a man from a different religion, but her family marry her off to the first available eligible bachelor, Sheru. Sher accepts the proposal in desperation of repaying a loan, while Tiku sees Sheru as her passport to freedom.
However, Sheru falls in love with Tiku but they get caught between the chaos of the underworld, drugs, and romance and face one tragedy after the other without any time to deal with their sorrow.
Directed by Sai Kabir who has written the film alongside Amit Tiwari, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in titular roles, with a supporting cast of Rahoul, Zakir Hussain, Khushi Bharadwaj and Vipin Sharma among others.
‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ is the first feature film produced by Kangana Ranaut after the launch of her Manikarnika Films banner. ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ will premiere only on Amazon Prime Video on 23rd June, 2023.
