Tips Films has today announced the new release date for ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’, the sequel to the hit 2003 film is hat marked the debut of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. Produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani, ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ will now make its way to the theatres on 21st June, 2024.
‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ is directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari (‘Dhapa’, ‘Mismatched’) and stars a fresh cast that includes Rohit Saraf (‘The Sky Is Pink’, ‘Mismatched’), Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan as Sanya, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ child actor Zibraan Khan as Sahir and Naila Grewal (‘Tamasha’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’) as Riya.
The character posters unveiled earlier give a glimpse into the characters. Rohit as Raghav is seen with a notebook and pen indicating his passion for writing while the other male character Sahir played by Zibraan Khan is all into bodybuilding. Pashmina Roshan’s Sanya is a golfer and Naila Grewal’s Riya looks like a boho chic who is ‘Miss Right’ in love, life and everything in between.
The “Gen Z” romance drama has begun shooting and is produced by Ramesh Taurani while Jaya Taurani serves as the co-producer. While this one brings back a lot of nostalgia, it doesn’t do so without the risk of the sequel not meeting the expectations. One can only hope it lives up to the original and does not ruin it for the fans.
‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ will release in cinemas on 21st June, 2024.
