The previous list was not all for Apple TV+’s slate of star-studded anticipated shows for the month. Let’s take a look at the remaining titles!
1. June 28: Fancy Dance
A part familial drama, part murder mystery, and part road movie, the film follows Jax and how she cares for her niece Roki after her sister’s mysterious disappearance.
Starring the brilliant Lily Gladstone in a leading role, her run of surreal performances in acclaimed projects is nothing short of remarkable, with this becoming another feather on her cap. An urgent drama, the film promises to be partly soft and gripping. First premiering at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival to highly positive reviews, the title has already proved to be a wonderfully crafted story that unpacks a wide range of emotions.
2. June 28: WondLA
Based on ‘The WondLa trilogy’, a children’s science fiction fantasy novel by author Tony DiTerlizzi published in 2010, the animated film revolves around a young woman trying to figure out her place in the world while on the run with her robot mother, an over-sized water beast, and a tall blue creature.
The adventure-packed-seven-episode series will be released amidst an award-winning slate of original series and films for kids and families on the streamer. Since the platform already features the celebrated live-action animated hybrid special, ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’, the Academy and BAFTA Award winning animated short film ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse’, and the BAFTA Award-winning animated film ‘Wolfwalkers’, there is doubt that the feature will live up to its legacy!
