The newly formed partnership between Tom Cruise and Warner Bros looks a lot promising, and as per recent talks, there will be an “Edge Of Tomorrow 2” in the near future. But Cruise wants more than that.
As a result of Cruise’s recent statement surrounding his desire to do more auteur-driven films, there comes an output. In a recent update, the newest project of Alejandro G. Iñárritu will feature Tom Cruise.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment will be developing the film, marking Cruise’s first English film since “The Revenant,” the DiCaprio masterclass.
The project is now being treated as a top-secret one, with no plot details or cast revealed yet, and it will be treated as a priority for the Mexican filmmaker.
Tom Cruise swiftly sought a meeting with director Alejandro Iñárritu upon learning about his next project.
This potential collaboration could mark Cruise’s debut with Warner Bros under their recent non-exclusive deal. Fans hope Cruise pursues more auteur-driven projects, diverging from his action franchise ventures.
And keeping the past track records in mind, this film won’t be an action galore. Cruise was definitely serious when he stated that he wanted to do more artistic stuff, and this is definitely a result of that decision.
