The much anticipated Chris Pratt military science fiction movie ‘Tomorrow War‘ is releasing in India on Amazon Prime in the first week of July, in multiple regional languages. The trailer for the film has already been made available and it can be viewed in the four languages which will be featured in this country – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Check out the links for those trailers at the end of this article.
‘Tomorrow War’ was supposed to release in theatres, back in December 2020, but the pandemic put a stop to that plan quite quickly. With the second wave of the coronavirus hitting the globe harshly, many film executives have decided to go for the OTT route for their films – and ‘Tomorrow War’ is one of them. Amazon Prime Video acquired the streaming rights for the film, around its production cost of USD 200 million, back in January.
But the OTT platform hasn’t forgotten about one of their biggest streaming markets – India. With the demand for local language dubbing only increasing over the years, Amazon Prime Video was quick to provide dubbing for ‘Tomorrow War’ in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu as well. Hopefully, we will get more languages dubbed after the film’s official release – such as in Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada.
‘Tomorrow War’ follows humanity in the future, who is attacked by an unknown alien force. The people in the future devise a way to recruit people from the past so they can fight this war in the future, for a better tomorrow. In this movie we follow Dan Forester, ex-Former Delta Force Operator turned high school professor, as he gets recruited for this war. He leaves behind his wife and daughter to help humanity survive in the future.
‘Tomorrow War‘ will premiere in India in English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu on Amazon Prime Video on July 2nd 2021.
