OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar is all geared up to stream an exciting blend of films and series in the month of November. The list includes Disney Plus Day titles such as ‘Special Ops 1.5’, ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, and ‘Jungle Cruise’, to name a few. We have compiled for our readers a list of the top Indian and foreign films and series titles that will stream on the OTT platform from 1st November to 30th November.
Gully Rowdy (Film, Streaming from 4th November)
It’s a Telugu language action-comedy movie which revolves around the titular small-time rowdy from a gangster background who continues with his hooligan ways while balancing his love interest Neha.
MGR Magan (Film, Streaming from 4th November)
Written and directed by Ponram and featuring Sasikumar, Mirnalini Ravi, and Sathyaraj, this rural family drama film follows an estranged father-son duo and how after two decades of discord, they finally take on a fight. But will they succeed in their battle?
Special Ops 1.5 (Series, Streaming from 12th November)
‘Special Ops 1.5’ is a highly anticipated spy thriller show that belongs to the same universe as the acclaimed series ‘Special Ops’ helmed by Neeraj Pandey and starring Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. The show would ostensibly narrate the engaging backstory and the formative years of its protagonist – the relentless R&AW analyst Himmat Singh.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Film, Streaming from 12th November)
The widely acclaimed superhero film follows the adventures of the highly trained martial artist Shang-Chi (played by Simi Liu), who is trying to live a normal life. But now the superhero must deal with his past after his estranged father and the misguided leader of the Ten Rings organization directs him on a dangerous path to find a hidden village.
Jungle Cruise (Film, Streaming from 12th November)
It’s a fun-filled fantasy adventure film starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson in the lead roles and is somewhat reminiscent of the Indiana Jones films. Based on Disney’s theme park attraction of the same name, the film’s story follows a headstrong female scientist who takes the help of a courageous riverboat captain to cruise through a dangerous jungle to find the Tree of Life.
Home Sweet Home Alone (Film, Streaming from 12th November)
An upcoming comedy film that belongs to the Home Alone films franchise, the plot follows a rehashed version of the similar storyline of a young boy who is accidentally left home alone and who must prevent burglars from invading his house.
Kanakam Kamini Kalaham (Film, Streaming from 12 November)
Helmed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, the satirical comedy film is slated to be Disney+ Hotstar’s first Malayalam direct-to-OTT release. The story follows a married couple and their stay at a once glorious Ernakulam hotel and their interactions with various eccentric characters during their stay.
Dopesick (Series, Streaming from 12th November)
Dopesick is a drama miniseries that revolves around a pharmaceutical company and its role in OxyContin opioid addiction in America. The series is told from various perspectives of doctors, users, law enforcers, the prosecutors, and the pharma company itself. The series features veteran actor Michael Keaton in the role of Dr. Samuel Finnix.
Olaf Presents (Series, Streaming from 12 November)
Olaf Presents is a series of animated short films that would feature Frozen’s snowman turned showman Olaf (voiced by Josh Gad) narrating five classic Disney stories namely ‘The Lion King’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Moana’, ‘Aladdin’, and ‘Tangled’.
Hawkeye (Series, Streaming from 24th November)
The Marvel miniseries would revolve around superhero Hawkeye’s character after the events of the 2019 blockbuster film ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Jeremy Renner would reprise his role as Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the series. The story follows how Clint Barton must team up with another archer and his protégé Kate Bishop to deal with the enemies from his dark past, in order to reach his home on time before Christmas.
