Today is an exciting day for OTT viewers in India as many films and shows have been or will be released on various OTT platforms on 28th January. For this article, we have made a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are/will be out today on OTT and which you can check out on the below-mentioned platforms. So, here we go.
Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet (Streaming on Netflix)
It’s a stand-up special show featuring India’s king of comedy Kapil Sharma. For the first time, the immensely popular master of laughter will narrate several unknown instances from his own life in, obviously, a humorous way using his trademark amusing style.
All Of Us Are Dead (Streaming on Netflix)
Based on the webtoon ‘Now at Our School’, it’s a South Korean show where high school students are forced to fight a zombie outbreak in a battle for survival, in order to avoid becoming the infected creatures themselves. Killing or getting killed are the only two options left for them.
Tadap (Streaming of Disney+ Hotstar)
It’s a romantic action movie helmed by Milan Luthria (Director – Deewaar, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai). The plot follows the story of a Mussoorie-based man Ishana (Ahan Shetty), who falls madly in love with a powerful politician’s daughter Ramisa (Tara Sutaria), who is also attracted to him. Things take an interesting turn when the girl’s father comes to know about their relationship but there is more to it than meets the eye.
The Orbital Children (Streaming on Netflix)
The first installment of the two-part Japanese anime sci-fi series is set to stream on Netflix from today onwards. Set in the year 2045, the show’s plotline follows the lives of two children Touya and Konoha, born on the moon, and three kids Taiyo, Mina, and Hiroshi from the Earth and their endeavors to survive after an accident occur on their space station.
Gamanam (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
Helmed by Sujana Rao, ‘Gamanam’ is a Telugu anthology film that narrates the stories of six different people who reside in a city ravaged by floods. Another highlight of the anthology is that its music is given by the legendary Indian music composer Illaiyaraaja.
Feria (Streaming on Netflix)
Set in the 1990s period, this supernatural fantasy thriller Spanish series revolves around the story of two teenage sisters Eva and Sofia, who discover shocking secrets about their parents’ involvement in a cult ritual.
Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff (Streaming on Eros Now)
Helmed by Sam Bhattacharjee, it’s an Indo-British psychological horror film that follows the story of a newly married couple Harmesh (Sid Makkar) and Soumili (Nyra Banerjee) who relocate to a seemingly perfect new house. However, the goings-on take an adverse turn when the couple begins to experience strange and mysterious phenomena. Now, only one person can help them – paranormal expert Barun Rai (played by Priyanshu Chatterjee of ‘Tum Bin’ fame)
Angry Birds: Summer Madness (Streaming on Netflix)
This Angry Birds spin-off series will follow the story of teenage birds namely Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella along with their new feathered friends and their adventures at a summer camp.
Titane (Streaming on Mubi)
The film’s basic premise revolves around a father reuniting with his son, who has been missing for ten years. Titane is actually a metal that is highly resistant to corrosion and heat with high tensile strength alloys. It’s often used in medical prostheses due to its pronounced biocompatibility.
The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
This is the sixth installment of the ‘Ice Age’ film series which started way back in the year 2002. The film focuses on the hilarious misadventures of possum brothers Crash and Eddie after they get trapped underneath a giant cave – the Lost World. They are saved by the one-eyed adventurous weasel Buck Wild and they team up to save the Lost World from being ruled by dinosaurs.
