9. Khufiya – Streaming on Netflix
Khufiya is a spy drama, centred on an operative of R&AW, who is assigned to track down a mole who is selling defense secrets while grappling with her dual identity as a spy and a lover. Starring Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
8. Beckham – Streaming on Netflix
Beckham is a documentary series on football icon David Beckham that documents his life story from childhood to his ascent to football greatness. It also explores hitherto untouched subjects such as his marriage to Victoria Beckham, allegations of an extra-marital affair, his infamous red card at the 1998 World Cup, among other controversial topics. Directed by Fisher Stevens.
7. Gadar 2 – Streaming on ZEE5
Gadar 2 picks up after the events of the first film. It centres on Tara Singh’s endeavour to bring back his son Jeet from the custody of Pakistani forces. Starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma. Directed by Anil Sharma
6. Fair Play – Streaming on Netflix
Fair Play centres on a couple and their precarious relationship that is severely tested when an unexpected promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund threatens to unravel far more than their recent engagement. Starring Phoebe Dynevor, Alden Ehrenreich, Eddie Marsan, directed by Chloe Domonty.
5. Lupin Part 3 – Streaming on Netflix
Assane Diop has styled himself after the fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise, Lupin. Having avenged his father and living in hiding, away from his wife and kid, Assane wants to start a new life. But his plans go for a toss when a new enemy threatens Assane’s family. Starring Omar Sy.
4. Asteroid City – Available to rent on BmsStream and Prime Video Rental Store
Asteroid City follows a grieving father who travels with his tech-obsessed family to small rural Asteroid City to compete in a junior stargazing event, only to have his world view disrupted forever. The film is written and directed by Wes Anderson, and stars a huge ensemble cast, including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, among a host of others.
3. Loki Season 2 – Streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar
Loki Season 2 picks up from the events of Season 1, with more time-warping chaos ensuing in Loki’s life. Tom Hiddleston is back as Loki in Loki Season 2, as are Owen Wilson as Mobius, Jonathon Majors as Kang and Sophia DiMartino as Sylvie, along with Ke Huy Quan, Kate Dickie, Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Rafael Casal, among others.
2. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty – Streaming on Netflix
Telugu film ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ centres on 30-year-old Anvitha Shetty, who’s doesn’t believe in love and marriage, but wants a baby through IVF. Her hunt for a sperm donor leads her to 25-year-old Siddhu Polishetty, a stand-up comic. The new-age rom-com is an atypical, modern love story between an older woman and younger man. Starring Anushka Shetty, Naveen Polishetty, Murali Sharma, Nassar, Jayasudha, among others. Written and directed by Mahesh Babu P.
1. Mumbai Diaries Season 2 – Streaming on Prime Video
Mumbai Diaries Season 2 centres on a sudden cloudburst and flash floods in Mumbai, and how the doctors at Bombay General Hospital rise to meet the challenge of coping with the deluge of patients, while grappling with their personal demons amidst the larger chaos.
