OTT platform BookMyShow Stream has a number of exciting films and series titles lined up for release during the January second half. In this article, we have shortlisted for our readers a list of top five films and series that will stream on BMS Stream from 15th January to 31st January 2022.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (Streaming from 20th January)
The latest cinematic venture of the immensely popular Resident Evil film franchise is based on the first two games by Japanese gaming giant Capcom. Set in the year 1998, the movie narrates the origin story and revolves around the desperate attempt by a group of people to survive the night in Umbrella Corp’s erstwhile base town and now devasted lands of the infamous Raccoon City.
Hard Sun (Streaming from 21st January)
The six-part miniseries is a British crime drama that revolves around two socially and morally disparate London-based cops Detective Chief Inspector Charlie Hicks and Detective Inspector Elaine Renko. They must set aside their differences and team up after learning about a piece of top-secret news about the impending world’s destruction.
Halloween Kills (Streaming from 26th January)
Directed by David Gordon Green, the film is a sequel to the 2018 slasher horror movie ‘Halloween’ and continues the story arcs of Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney).
Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up! (Streaming from 27th January)
The wild west themed animated film follows the evergreen and legendary duo but also perpetual rivals Tom and Jerry. But this time, the duo must join hands and form a team to save a damsel-in-distress cowgirl and her brother from a greedy and deceitful land-grabber.
Irresistible (Streaming from 28th January)
Directed by Jon Stewart and starring Steve Carell, it is a political comedy-drama movie that follows a Democratic political campaign manager who assists a former marine colonel and a local candidate in a small and conservative Wisconsin town.
