Top 5 DC Movies Releasing After The Batman

By Binged Bureau - Mar 03, 2022 @ 06:03 pm
Top 5 DC Movies Releasing After The Batman

DC’s latest project, The Batman, has started winning the hearts of movie critics. It currently stands at an 86% rating based on 226 reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes platform so far. Plus, the majority of the viewers have hailed it as the best Batman instalment since Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (2008).

DC Extended Universe’s entire voyage has been a rollercoaster ride for the fans. It got a bumpy start in the form of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013). And critics badly butchered BvS and Suicide Squad in terms of reviews and ratings. But thanks to the magical duo of Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot for bestowing the franchise’s first critically acclaimed movie, Wonder Woman (2017).

We know that The Batman is not a part of DCEU. Warner Bros has planned two sequels for a separate Batman cinematic universe with Robert Pattinson donning the cowl. But still, they all are a part of one big DC family. That’s why we have listed down the top 5 DC movies that will get dispatched theatrically after The Batman’s worldwide release on March 4.

5. Batgirl

Release Date: 2022

Bad Boys for Life fame Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have helmed the first-ever live-action solo project based on Batgirl. Leslie Grace is ready to portray Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon (J. K. Simmons), in the upcoming movie. Apart from these two acting talents, Brendan Fraser is also a part of this project. He will play a sociopathic pyromaniac named Firefly. Plus, we have Michael Keaton in the cast to make things more interesting. It will release directly via the HBO Max streaming platform.

4. Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Release Date: June 2, 2023

The upcoming Shazam sequel will kick-start next year for DC and Warner Bros. Many notable faces like Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hounsou, and many more will return. Additionally, the fans will witness some new faces in Shazam 2. WB has already signed Helen Mirren as Hespera and Lucy Liu as Kalypso. The latter will serve as the daughter of Atlas. Rachel Zegler is also a part of this project.

3. Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom

Release Date: December 16, 2022

Despite receiving hate from the Johnny Depp fanbase, DC diehards are still interested in the forthcoming Aquaman entry. James Wan will helm this one with Jason Momoa wielding Atlan’s Trident. In addition to the leading man, the majority of the cast including Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren, and many more will return to play their respective characters in the film. It will start streaming via HBO Max after its exclusive 45-day theatrical release.

2. Black Adam

Release Date: July 29, 2022

Warner Bros hired Dwayne Johnson for the character of Black Adam way back in 2014. And nearly eight years later, this movie will come out in July. We all are familiar with the multiple shoot postponements the film has endured in the last couple of years. Special thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, we have a fixed release date for the upcoming DC project. This one treasures a sensational cast of Dwayne Johnson as Kahndaq’s Black Adam, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate.

1. The Flash

Release Date: November 4, 2022

There is no denying that Andy Muschietti’s upcoming DC directional, The Flash, will change DCEU drastically after its arrival. It has a wonderful chance to take this superhero franchise to new heights. But we cannot just ignore its “side-effects” as well. And by side-effects, we mean the rumours that commenced circulating some months ago regarding the film. Various reports have pointed out that the events of the forthcoming Flash movie may bring shocking changes to the DCEU’s current timeline. We all know that Barry will go back in time. And when that happens, everything gets affected. Some rumours have even indicated that we may witness the last of Ben Affleck’s Batman in this one. Whatever we get in the movie, we know for sure that The Flash is undoubtedly one of the most important upcoming movies for DC.
