Last year’s Disney+ Day witnessed the arrival of the official footage from Marvel’s upcoming She-Hulk series. The footage introduced Tatiana Maslany to the MCU as Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk). Also, we watched Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner, Walters’ cousin. Additionally, the official announcement from the MCU’s godfather, Kevin Feige, confirmed the return of Tim Roth’s Abomination.
Like all the previous MCU projects, fans have started theorising or generating rumours about the forthcoming She-Hulk series. How about having a close look at some of them? Let’s do this!
Wong’s cameo appearance in the She-Hulk series
Wong has already made cameo appearances in ‘Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings’ and ‘Spider-Man No Way Home’. Will the current Sorcerer Supreme appear in the She-Hulk series? Well, several reports have claimed that he may earn a small screen time in the show, saving Walters from some bad guys.
Will Liv Tyler return as Betty Ross?
More than 13 years have passed since the events of The Incredible Hulk. Or should we say more than 18 years considering the events of Avengers: Endgame? And it seems like Marvel forgot or ignored Betty Ross for future MCU projects. Whatever might be the reason for this scenario, her inclusion could have added more depth to Bruce Banner’s character.
Marvel reinvented William Hurt’s General Ross with Captain America: Civil War. And we don’t see any reason why Marvel cannot do a similar thing with Betty Ross. However, the chances of her appearance are very low.
Red Hulk’s debut is on the table
Speaking of William Hurt, the fans may watch his character, General “Thunderbolt” Ross, turning into Hulk’s most notable nemesis, Red Hulk. Although, we have not witnessed any on-screen altercation between Banner and Ross after the events of The Incredible Hulk (2008). Still, some rumours have hinted at the live-action debut of Red Hulk in the upcoming series.
If this rumour turns out to be true in future, then the whole Bruce-Betty-General Ross situation may take all the focus away from Jennifer Walters. And we cannot ignore the leading lady of the show. After all, not everyone works like the makers of the Boba Fett series, dedicating an entire episode to another notable character, The Mandalorian.
Tim Roth’s Abomination will regain his human form
Tim Roth recently appeared in an interview with the ‘On Tape’ podcast. The actor unearthed some important details about his character in the She-Hulk series. He was asked whether his character will regain his human form of Emil Blonsky, to which the actor replied, “Oh yeah!”
Jim Carrey to make his MCU debut with M.O.D.O.K
Various reports have stated that Marvel has roped in Jim Carrey for M.O.D.O.K’s character. We may see the actor lending his voice to the super-intelligent man-mind in the forthcoming superhero series.
What about Charlie Cox’s return as Daredevil?
One of the hottest rumours about the She-Hulk series includes Charlie Cox. Multiple sources have claimed that the actor will return as Matt Murdock. It is not clear whether we will see his horned-head alter ego, Daredevil, in the show or not. Furthermore, the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones seems like a possibility. However, we don’t know about the returns of the remaining members of The Defenders.
