Matt Reeves’ cinematic version of the caped crusader ‘The Batman’ starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role is certainly one of the most eagerly anticipated movies this year. The superhero movie is releasing in theatres on 4th March 2022.

7. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
This was the second DCEU film after ‘Man of Steel’. After the irreparable collateral damage following Superman (Henry Cavill) and Zod’s battle, Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) decides to end Superman’s reign on the planet. And the criminal mastermind Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) has his own evil plans.

It was the sequel to Tim Burton’s 1989 movie ‘Batman’ and Michael Keaton reprised his role as the masked vigilante. As Batman struggles with his dual identity, he must face a psychopathic criminal called The Penguin (Danny DeVito) and business tycoon Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) and save Gotham City from nefarious plans. The film also featured Michelle Pfeiffer as femme fatale Catwoman.

Helmed by Tim Burton, the film revolves around Batman’s (Michael Keaton) crimefighting adventures against a psychopathic supervillain The Joker (played by Jack Nicholson) who has terrorized Gotham City residents.
4. Zack Snyder’s Justice League (Rent on Apple, YouTube, Google Play, Hungama Play, Tata Sky)
The film is a director’s cut version of Zack Snyder’s 2017 movie ‘Justice League’. The film follows the efforts of the titular superhero team comprising Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and the Flash (Ezra Miller), to save Earth from the formidable threat of Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid.
3. The Dark Knight Rises (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The last installment of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy follows a guilt-ridden Batman (Christian Bale), who must come out of his self-imposed exile after a new and powerful supervillain and terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy) threatens to destroy the city. The film also featured Oscar winner Anna Hathaway as the professional cat burglar Catwoman.

The second film of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy portrays how the bat-masked superhero Batman (Christian Bale) has joined forces with honest cop Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Gotham City’s White Knight Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). But things soon take an ugly turn when a sadistic, mass-murdering clown Joker (Heath Ledger) emerges from the underworld.

Helmed by Christopher Nolan, the film also featured an ensemble cast including Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, and Cillian Murphy.
