Last week was marked with the arrival of many exciting foreign OTT films and shows such as ‘Killing Eve Season 4’, ‘A Discovery of Witches Season 3’, ‘Restless’, ‘Vikings: Valhalla’, and ‘Juvenile Justice’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have collated a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms this week.
Super Pumped (Streaming on Voot from 28th February)
The anthology series features Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the role of former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. The show’s first season is based on Mike Issac’s book and would chronicle the roller coaster journey of Silicon Valley’s renowned ride-sharing transportation company Uber from the point of view of its CEO Travis Kalanick.
Worst Roommate Ever (Streaming on Netflix from 1st March)
Based on William Brennan’s 2018 New York magazine article, the five-part true-crime docu-series showcases four different spine-chilling stories of one unsuspecting roommate can become the victim of the malicious and violent intentions of his/her seemingly harmless roommate.
West Side Story (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 2nd March)
Steven Spielberg’s romantic musical drama ‘West Side Story’ is a film adaptation of the 1957 stage musical of the same name. Set in 1957 New York City, the film showcases a classic tale of fierce rivalries between two street gangs namely Jets and Sharks which is fuelled by a love story between two youngsters – ex-brawler Tony and Maria.
No Time to Die (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, BookMyShow from 4th March)
The film was Daniel Craig’s last outing as the globe-trotting super-spy James Bond. The plot revolves around a now-retired James Bond who is suddenly brought back into action after the CIA gives him a mission to track and rescue a kidnapped scientist. Bond’s new adventure leads him to a formidable villain who is equipped with dangerous technology.
Pieces of Her (Streaming on Netflix from 4th March)
Based on Karin Slaughter’s 2018 novel of the same name, ‘Pieces of Her’ revolves around how a mother-daughter relationship takes a dramatic turn when the mother’s (Toni Collette) mysterious past comes to the fore after a violent shoot-out at their small-town local diner.
The Weekend Away (Streaming on Netflix from 4th March)
In this mystery thriller movie, a seemingly perfect weekend away soon turns into a woman’s worst nightmare when her best friend disappears during her leisure trip to Croatia. Things get worse for her when it is discovered that her friend has been murdered and she becomes the primary suspect. Her desperate attempts to clear her name and get back home form the rest of the film’s plot.
