Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such ‘Our Father’, ‘The Matrix Resurrections’, ‘Savage Beauty’, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’, ‘The Worst Person in the World’, and ‘Senior Year’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.
Who Killed Sara Season-3 (Streaming on Netflix from 18th May)
The Spanish thriller show follows the story of Alex Guzman who is imprisoned for 18 years for the murder of his sister Sara, a crime he claims he did not commit. After getting released from the prison, Alex makes it his mission to exact revenge from the real culprit and to prove that he was innocent.
Lovestruck High (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 18th May)
Narrated by ‘Mean Girls’ star Lindsay Lohan, the reality dating show features a group of fifteen UK-based singles who are relocated to a high school in the USA. Fuelled by their hopes of finding love, the players will compete with the common goal of finding a prom date. And the winning couple will bag the $100,000 prize money.
Cyber Hell: Exposing an Internet Horror (Streaming on Netflix from 18th May)
The Korean true crime documentary narrates a disturbing account of the Nth Room shocking incident which happened for real in Korea. In the said case, an anonymous person blackmailed multiple women for some abominable cyber activities in return for fake promises for a significant amount of money.
The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib (Streaming on Netflix from 19th May)
The 12-part animated series takes place after the events of the 2021 film ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’. The plot follows the titular protagonist The Boss Baby aka Theodore Templeton, who is framed for embezzlement of funds. Thereafter, he turns back to his Boss Baby self and teams up with Baby Corp employee Tina and others to lead a new Field Team with the aim of enhancing baby love.
Love, Death & Robots Season-3 (Streaming on Netflix from 20th May)
Created by Tim Miller and David Fincher, it’s an animated anthology series comprising standalone stories from various genres including science fiction, horror, action, and comedy. The episodes have a runtime of under 20 minutes and each one is executed in varied animation styles. You may think of it as a lighter, animated version of Netflix’s ‘Black Mirror’. The premise of the various episodes ranges from a botched-up space expedition, a Dracula-based story, an alternative history WW-II plotline, and a bounty hunter story, etc.
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman Season-4 (Streaming on Netflix from 20th May)
In the latest season of the Emmy-nominated show, globally renowned television talk show host David Letterman will have some more insightful conversations with new guests. The celebrity guest list includes Will Smith (pre-Oscar slap incident), Ryan Reynolds, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Kevin Durant, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 20th May)
Set thirty years after the immensely popular television series, the animated action-comedy movie follows the new adventures of the protagonists Chip and Dale. The principled and fearless co-founder Chip must reunite with his best friend Dale and other group members after a cast member of the parent series is nowhere to be found.
Jackass 4.5 (Streaming on Netflix from 20th May)
The film features a sneak-peek, unused footage from the fourth instalment of the reality comedy ‘Jack Ass’ series film ‘Jackass Forever’, which was released earlier this year.
