Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Sir Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’, ‘Bhediya’, and ‘Rajneeti’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Bird of Dusk (Streaming on Hoichoi from 30th May)
Helmed by Sangeeta Dutta, the documentary feature film is based on the life of Late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh’s (Director – Raincoat, Chokher Bali).
Sulaikha Manzil (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 30th May)
The Malayalam romantic comedy movie revolves around how the lives of the families of would-be bride and groom Haala and Ameen suddenly become hot and happening soon after their wedding is fixed.
Asur Season-2 (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 1st June)
The mythological crime thriller series follows a brilliant forensic expert’s (Barun Sobti) pursuit to catch a ruthless and psychopath serial killer with the help of his experienced mentor (Arshad Warsi).
Scoop (Streaming on Netflix from 2nd June)
Directed by Hansal Mehta (Scam 1992), the web series follows the story of an ambitious crime journalist (Karishma Tanna), who somehow becomes the prime suspect in a shocking murder of a fellow journalist. How she fights back form the show’s underlying plot.
Mumbaikar (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 2nd June)
Helmed by Santosh Sivan set in the maximum city, the action thriller movie ostensibly revolves around the lives of a group of youngsters in a big city and how their stories are somehow interlinked. It features Vikrant Massey, Vijay Sethupathi and Ranvir Shorey in important roles.
School of Lies (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 2nd June)
The mystery thriller web series revolves around the sudden disappearance of a 12-year-old boy from a private boarding school, thereby revealing some dark secrets about the place. It features Nimrat Kaur in a major role of a school counsellor.
Hatyapuri (Streaming on Zee5 from 2nd June)
Directed by Sandip Ray, the mystery film features Indraneil Sengupta as the iconic detective who finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation during a leisure trip to the coastal town of Puri.
Ghar Banduk Biryani (Streaming on Zee5 from 2nd June)
The Marathi action-comedy movie narrates the story of an expert cook who yearns for a home, another person who is a rebel who wants revenge and an honest cop who transferred to another place.
Godavari (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 3rd June)
Helmed by Nikhil Mahajan and set in banks of the Godavari River, the Marathi language drama movie is about a family dealing with death.
