Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo’, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makaar’, and ‘Fireflies – Parth Aur Jugnu’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Dahaad (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 12th May)
The crime drama web series features Sonakshi Sinha as a relentless but underdog cop, who investigates a series of mysterious murders of women found dead inside public bathrooms. She begins to realize that it’s all the work of a ruthless serial killer. It also features Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in important roles.
Thiruvin Kural (Streaming on Netflix from 12th May)
The action thriller movie follows the story of a hearing and speech impaired man Thiru (played by Arulnithi), whose life suddenly takes an extreme turn after his father gets injured at a construction site. Can he get out of the situation despite his disability?
Taj: Reign of Revenge S2 (Streaming on Zee5 from 12th May)
Set fifteen years after the events shown in ‘Taj: Divided By Blood’, the eight-part period drama series revolves around how Salim attempts to exact revenge for his deceased lover Anarkali’s death and his plans to ascend the throne.
Soppana Sundari (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 12th May)
The film’s plot is about a lower middle-class woman (played by Aishwarya Lakshmi) wins an expensive car in a raffle draw, but her happiness is short-lived as her estranged brother claims to be the real winner of the lucky draw.
Homestay Murders (Streaming on Hoichoi from 12th May)
The mystery thriller series revolves around a group of guests who check in a homestay in a scenic hill town. But after one of them gets killed by an unknown person, the strangers must confront their dark past and unearth the truth to catch the killer.
Newsense (Streaming on Aha Video from 12th May)
The web series starring Navdeep and Bindu Madhavi ostensibly focuses on the media’s role in the society, a behind-the-scenes look at the reality of news and also follows the story of a few journalists and their romantic relationship.
