Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Tooth Pari’, ‘Garmi’, and ‘Mohanagar Season-2’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Antharam (Streaming on Koode App from 24th April)
Helmed by P. Abhijith, the Malayalam film follows a young girl Sneha, who leaves her grandparents’ home to live with her father and her stepmother and how she gets emotionally connected with the latter.
Dasara (Streaming on Netflix from 27th April)
Set amidst the backdrop of Singareni coal mines in an alcohol-addicted village, the period action film follows the story of three friends Dharani (Nani), Soori (Dheekshith Shetty) and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). But the goings-on take a drastic turn after one of the friends is mysteriously killed by someone. Now, it’s up to Dharani to find the culprit and exact revenge.
Pathu Thala (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 27th April)
Directed by Obeli N Krishna, the action thriller movie follows the story of an undercover cop Guna (Gautham Karthik), who makes it his mission to bring to justice a dreaded crime lord AGR (Silambarasan) but finds out that there is more the gangster’s story than meets the eye.
Save The Tigers (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 27th April)
The Telugu language comedy drama series focuses on three frustrated husbands whose desperate rants somehow go public and the hilarious repercussions that follow.
Thuramukham (Streaming on SonyLIV from 28th April)
Set in the 1950s period, the film’s plot revolves around how labourers’ union made a desperate effort and protested to change the abhorrent system of giving out work to port labourers through a system called the ‘Chappa’ (tickets) system in Kochi. In this system, labourers were forced to fight against each other in order to get copper tokens for low-paid jobs at the harbour.
U-Turn (Streaming on Zee5 from 28th April)
The mystery thriller movie features Alaya F as an intern journalist who somehow ends up becoming the main suspect for the murder of a motorist while investigating the case of bike riders flouting U-turn traffic rules on a flyover.
Ved (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 28th April)
The Marathi language romantic drama movie follows the story of a talented cricketer Satya (Riteish Deshmukh), who has been waiting for his big break. But after a wrong accusation against him, Satya’s life takes an adverse turn. The movie also features Genelia Deshmukh and Jiya Shankar in important roles.
Vyavastha (Streaming on Zee5 from 28th April)
The Telugu legal drama web series is about how an under confident and stuttering lawyer takes up the case for his former love interest which pits him against a ruthless and experienced lawyer. It features Sampath Raj, Karthik Rathnam, and Hebah Patel in the lead roles.
