Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Pathaan’, ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’, and ‘Purusha Pretham’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week which might prove to be a triple delight for Indian OTT audiences.
Sridevi Shoban Babu (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 30th March)
The romantic drama movie revolves around a Hyderabad-based fashion designer Sridevi (Gouri K Kishan), who meets a good hearted man named Shoban Babu (Santosh Shoban) and develops romantic feelings towards him. How her life changes after meeting the man forms the film’s underlying storyline.
Gaslight (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 31st March)
The whodunnit mystery thriller movie features Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Chitrangda Singh in the lead roles. Directed by Pavan Kriplani (Ragini MMS, Bhoot Police), the film’s plot revolves around a paraplegic woman, who visits her ancestral home and must unearth the mystery behind her estranged father’s death.
Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat (Streaming on Netflix from 31st March)
Helmed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie narrates two different stories set in Dalhousie and London, respectively. In one story, a school going girl Amrita (Alaya F) falls in love with an aimless man Yaqub (Karan Mehta). In another story, a Pakistani woman Ayesha (Alaya F) is immensely fond of a DJ. And both these parallel stories have a common connection – DJ Mohabbat (Vicky Kaushal).
Agilan (Streaming on Zee5 from 31st March)
The action-drama movie features Jayaram Ravi as the titular protagonist Agilan, a crane operator who gets involved in illegal trade activities, much to the chagrin of a rival gangster and a relentless cop on his pursuit.
Ayothi (Streaming on Zee5 from 31st March)
The Tamil language drama movie revolves around the story of an Ayodhya-based family comprising four members and their journey to Rameswaram. But the goings-on take a drastic turn when an unfortunate incident happens, and they are struck in a hapless situation.
United Kacche (Streaming on Zee5 from 31st March)
The eight-part dramedy series features Sunil Grover as the titular protagonist Tango, who fulfils his dream of relocating from Punjab to London, albeit as an illegal immigrant aka Kaccha. After reaching there, he learns that life away from home is not as rosy as he had imagined.
Bagheera (Streaming on SunNXT from 31st March)
The film’s plot is about a psychologically disturbed serial killer (played by dance maestro Prabhu Deva), who dislikes women because of his troubled past.
Amigos (Streaming on Netflix from 1st April)
The action crime thriller movie follows the story of a Hyderabad-based businessman named Siddharth (Kalyan Ram), who learns about his two doppelgangers (lookalikes). They plan to meet in Goa, but the story takes a U-turn after one of the doppelgangers turns out to be a wanted fugitive.
Sathi Gaani Rendu Ekaralu (Streaming on Aha Video from 1st April)
Directed by Abhinav Danda, the dark comedy movie features Jagadeesh Bandari (of Pushpa fame) in the lead role who decides to sell his land and gets involved in a murder case.
