Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Romantics’, ‘Lost’, ‘The Night Manager’ and ‘Cirkus’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week which might prove to be a triple delight for Indian OTT audiences.
Thankam (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 20th February)
The Malayalam crime drama movie features Biju Menon and Vineeth Srinivasan as two friends and gold agents Muthu and Kannan who belong to the Gold Capital of India – Thrissur. But the duo gets involved in a criminal case while travelling to Tamil Nadu for a business trip.
Varisu (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 22nd February)
The action-drama movie features Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film’s story is about a happy-go-lucky man whose life takes a drastic turn after his foster father suddenly dies.
Veera Simha Reddy (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 23rd February)
The action-drama movie features Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role of Veera Simha Reddy, who is portrayed as a well-respected figure in Kurnool. The story is about how a son (Nandamuri Balakrishna in a double role) exacts revenge from those responsible for the death of his father.
Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (Streaming on Netflix from 23rd February)
The film follows the story of a group of Malayali tourists who are on their way back to Kerala via a bus. Amongst the travellers is the film’s protagonist James (played by Mammootty), who stops the bus in a Tamil Nadu village, enters a seemingly random house and mysteriously begins to behave like a native Tamilian.
#Mute (Streaming on Namma Flix from 23rd February)
The Kannada language mystery thriller movie revolves around the story of a reclusive divorcee who sets out to find the person responsible for her miserable life.
Michael (Streaming on Aha Video from 24th February)
Set in the 1990s period, the action thriller movie features Sundeep Kishan in the titular role of a gangster who is caught between gang wars and love.
Dakghor (Streaming on Hoichoi from 24th February)
Directed by Abhrajit Sen, the comedy drama series narrates rustic and endearing tales and revolves around its two main characters – the village postmaster and an unconventional village girl.
Potluck Season-2 (Streaming on SonyLIV from 24th February)
The comedy drama series focuses on the upper-middle class Mumbai-based Shastri family and how the patriarch tries his best to maintain a cordial relationship with the family members.
Rabia and Olivia (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 24th February)
The underlying plot of the Hinglish film is about a young girl named Rabia, who migrates to Canada illegally. There, she meets a mentally stressed nine-year-old Canadian girl Olivia. Rabia becomes a caretaker of Olivia, and they form a beautiful bond and find comfort in each other’s company.
Vaalvi (Streaming on Zee5 from 24th February)
The Marathi comedy thriller movie is about a married couple Aniket and Avani who are planning to commit suicide. But there is more to the story than meets the eye as the husband is having an extra marital affair with a doctor and has some plans of his own.
Puli Meka (Streaming on Zee5 from 24th February)
The crime thriller web series revolves around how a female cop teams up with a forensic expert and tries to catch a psychopath serial killer in Hyderabad whose victims are police officers.
